Softball Recap: Wauseon Comes Up Short

Wauseon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-11 to the St. Ursula Academy Arrows. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Arrows apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Wauseon got a massive performance out of Abigail Kissel, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Bella McGuire also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Wauseon now has a losing record of 4-5. As for St. Ursula Academy, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wauseon will venture away from home to square off against Edon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians are facing the Bombers at the right time seeing as the Bombers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Ursula Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Divine Child at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
