            Softball Recap: Garber Dukes vs. Central Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            Garber put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Central Wolves as they made off with  an  11-4 victory. That's two games straight that the Dukes have won by  exactly seven  runs.
 Kara Kotenko spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.

 On the hitting side, Garber got a  massive  performance out of  Grace Zwetzig, who  scored two  runs and  stole six bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. Those  six  stolen bases gave  Zwetzig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Bowker, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
 Garber  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Garber's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Central, their defeat was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Garber will challenge Alma at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Central, they will square off against Pinconning at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
