Baseball Game Preview: Mingus Marauders vs. Prescott Badgers

Mingus is 2-8 against Prescott since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Marauders will venture away from home to face off against the Badgers at 4:00 p.m. Mingus has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mingus' last matchup with Prescott could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Marauders came up short against the Badgers, falling 22-8. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Prescott's part, Lucas Tobin was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Tobin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Schuster, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Prescott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Prescott has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mingus, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15-1.
