Baseball Recap: Horatio Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Horatio's offense. They came up short against the Murfreesboro Rattlers on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Rattlers: they've now lost three in a row.

Horatio's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Murfreesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horatio will square off against Cutter-Morning Star at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Murfreesboro, they will face off against Magnolia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Rattlers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
