Basketball Recap: Linden-Mckinley Sets Scoring Season-High Against East

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linden-McKinley). They snuck past the East Tigers with a 59-54 victory on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 56-37 loss.

East's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Daeshawn Fiore, who posted 16 points, and Aaron Britford, who earned 17 points. Fiore's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Linden-McKinley's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Linden-McKinley Panthers take on the Columbus International Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Linden-McKinley is facing Columbus International at the right time seeing as Columbus International is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. East has already played their next contest, a 73-61 defeat against Northwest on the 18th.
