Volleyball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Marquette Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Marquette, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Eureka on the 11th. As for Marquette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Rockwood Summit on the 11th.
