While Wittenberg-Birnamwood's win against Amherst wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Falcons 6-4. The win was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Amherst, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
