Genoa Area won the last time they faced Port Clinton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Redskins. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Genoa Area had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Makenna Moritz and Lucy Schlageter, who picked up nine kills apiece. Schlageter really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. Moritz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Genoa Area's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Port Clinton, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Genoa Area will challenge Eastwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Comets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Port Clinton, they will face off against Perkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
