Magnolia waltzed into their match on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Ritchie County Rebels by a score of 60-50. For the Blue Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 62-61 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Ritchie County still got an impressive performance from Isaac Hodges, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 17 rebounds. Hodges' afternoon made it 32 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Flesher, who posted four points and six boards.

Magnolia pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Ritchie County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.

Magnolia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ritchie County, they will welcome South Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
