Preview: Fullerton Warriors vs. Central City Bison
After two games on the road, Fullerton is heading back home. They will take on the Central City Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fullerton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past St. Edward 69-9 on the road. The team's offensive explosion also rewarded Fullerton with their most commanding win of the season.
Fullerton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Horn, who scored nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isabel Norman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Central City entered their tilt with Lakeview with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Central City beat Lakeview on Thursday by the very same score they won with last week: 30-23.
Central City can attribute much of their success to Addie Buhlke, who scored 12 points.
Fullerton's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Central City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Fullerton suffered a grim 48-23 defeat to Central City in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fullerton was down 33-10.
