Soccer Recap: Unity Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Unity can now relate to. They came up short against the Somerset Spartans on Thursday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Unity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Somerset are ranked 76th).

This is the second loss in a row for Unity and nudges their season record down to 1-12-1. As for Somerset, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record this season.

Unity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Somerset, they will face off against Baldwin-Woodville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
