Basketball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

Williams lost against Hamilton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Williams Yellowjackets came up short against the Hamilton Braves, falling 49-29. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Diego Ambriz, who posted 12 points.

Kayden Strong continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hamilton, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards. Strong has become a key player for Hamilton: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 7-9 otherwise. Caden Stickney was another key player, putting up eight points along with five boards and four steals.

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williams will square off against Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they will challenge Portola at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Portola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Hamilton likes a good challenge.
