Basketball Recap: Our Lady of Good Counsel Takes a Loss

Our Lady of Good Counsel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. The contest between the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons and the Lanham Christian Lions didn't end well, with the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons falling 80-62.

Lanham Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Carr led the charge by dropping a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds. What's more, Carr also posted a 56% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Tre Ray was another key player, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 11 boards.

Our Lady of Good Counsel's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Lanham Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-5.

Our Lady of Good Counsel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lanham Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Georgetown Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Lanham Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 matchups -- so hopefully Georgetown Prep likes a good challenge.
