Sulphur posted their closest win since November 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Westlake Rams, sneaking past 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Tors also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Sulphur took Westlake into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 15-25, 23-25, 15-9.

Jillian Gaudet paced Sulphur's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gaudet got some help from Anna Benoit and her 28 assists. Gaudet was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sulphur is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Westlake fell to 4-1.

Sulphur has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Iota on the 18th. As for Westlake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Iowa on the 18th.
