Basketball Recap: Polson Comes Up Short

Polson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries, falling 71-27. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Vikings & Valkyries are ranked 20th).

Polson's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bigfork, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Coming up, Polson will take on Libby at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Polson is facing Libby at the right time seeing as Libby is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Bigfork, they will face off against Ronan at 7:15 p.m. on February 20th.
