Northwestern has been on a difficult stretch since their win on August 26. They fell just short of the Hillsdale Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Northwestern were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Hillsdale earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Northwestern's goal came courtesy of Savannah McConahay, who's now up to two this season.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for Hillsdale, they moved to 2-10 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Northwestern will host Loudonville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsdale, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waynedale on the 23rd.
