Tri-Township and Washington Township are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Tigers will welcome the Senators at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Township is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Tri-Township lost 16-4 to Culver Community on Wednesday.

Kylee Shoupe put in work no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shoupe was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Shoupe wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Washington Township's offense. They fell 5-0 to West Central on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Senators' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Washington Township's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Tri-Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Tri-Township couldn't quite get it done against Washington Township when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
