Meanwhile, L'Anse Creuse came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out St. Clair 3-2.

L'Anse Creuse's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Chippewa Valley, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.
