Basketball Recap: FAU High Comes Up Short

FAU High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs and fell 55-7. The match marked the Owls' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Katalin Jenkins was FAU High's leading scorer, having posted three points.

It was another big night for Abby Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 steals for Dr. Joaquin Garcia. That makes it three consecutive games in which Quinn has scored at least a third of Dr. Joaquin Garcia's points. Another player making a difference was Annabelle Brisco, who posted five points along with seven steals and six assists.

FAU High's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the FAU High Owls challenge the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. Dr. Joaquin Garcia has already played their next contest (against Leonard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
