Basketball Game Preview: Stephens County Indians vs. East Jackson Eagles

The Stephens County Indians will venture away from home to face off against the East Jackson Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses apiece.

On Saturday, Stephens County lost to Elbert County at home by a 57-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-18, which was the final score in East Jackson's tilt against Hebron Christian on Friday.

East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Stephens County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Stephens County lost to East Jackson on the road by a decisive 59-41 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Stephens County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
