Volleyball Recap: North Paulding Takes a Loss

North Paulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northgate Vikings. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Vikings when the teams met back in September of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Paulding actually scored more points across those three sets (62-60), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21, 18-16.

Northgate was led to victory by Ashlen Hart and Karien Miranda. Hart had nine digs and six assists, while Miranda had seven digs. Those six assists gave Hart a new career-high.

North Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northgate, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

North Paulding didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on the 16th. As for Northgate, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Davidson Fine Arts on the 16th.
