Softball Recap: Marlborough Comes Up Short

Marlborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Shepherd Hill Regional Rams. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marlborough saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erin Seder, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Marlborough's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Coming up, Marlborough will be playing in front of their home fans against Fitchburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Shepherd Hill Regional, they are taking a road trip to challenge Groton-Dunstable at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
