Softball Recap: Burnet Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marble Falls on Friday, Burnet came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Taylor Ducks by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ducks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in March.

Burnet has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14-2 record this season. As for Taylor, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-17-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burnet is set to square off against their familiar foe Lampasas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Taylor will take on rival Gateway College Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
