Baseball Recap: Germantown Academy Patriots vs. Potomac School Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Germantown Academy). They came out on top against the Potomac School Panthers by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Germantown Academy got a great performance from Colin Minehan as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Minehan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Cooper Wilson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Charlie Wetzel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
