Softball Recap: White Plains Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

White Plains came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Greeley Quakers a 12-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Ava Galligani was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Riley Keane also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

White Plains hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters in three consecutive matches.

White Plains' win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average this season. As for Greeley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
