Baseball Recap: Lynden Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Lynden Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 8-2 to the Mount Vernon Bulldogs. The Lyncs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lynden Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Mount Vernon, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynden Christian will take on rival Lynden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon is set to face off against their familiar foe Blaine at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2, the Borderites 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
