A big part of St. Anne's-Belfield's victory came down to the chemistry between Haden Morris and his top target Chase Miller. Morris threw for 149 yards and three TDs on only eight passes while Miller picked up 113 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 113 receiving yards gave Miller a new career-high. Another big playmaker for St. Anne's-Belfield was Rylan Goffe-Lambert, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

St. Anne's-Belfield's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
