Softball Recap: Marlboro Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Marlboro Academy suffered their biggest loss since March 3rd on Friday. They came up short against the King's Academy Lions, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Tuesday.

Marlboro Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Herndon, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Marlboro Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for King's Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marlboro Academy will take on Carolina Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
