Soccer Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Cypress Ridge's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Cypress Ridge hasn't lost a match since January 24th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Stratford Spartans a 2-0 shutout. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Spartans are ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cypress Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Cypress Ridge will take on Cypress Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stratford, they will challenge Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
