Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Dragons vs. Harding Raiders

The Lakeside Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Harding Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Lakeside can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Wednesday. They lost 15-2 to Jefferson Area. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Meanwhile, Harding took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over Bristol. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jaron Edmonds was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Edmonds was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Harding got a massive performance out of Jayden Colbert, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Colbert has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kwame Adams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
