Softball Recap: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Delaware Valley Warriors

Port Jervis couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Delaware Valley Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. After a 14-7 finish the last time they played, Port Jervis and Delaware Valley decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.

For Delaware Valley's part, not much got past Emily Sullivan, who gave up just four hits to keep Port Jervis off the board.

On the hitting side, Delaware Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Calvario, who went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
