Basketball Recap: Eagle's View Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Eagle's View had won four straight home games and MARCUS CARTER JR did his part to make it five on Tuesday. The Eagle's View Warriors took their match with ease, bagging a 74-43 win over the Harvest Community Warriors thanks in part to CARTER JR, who went 9 of 21 en route to 23 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

JUSTIS CLEMENTS was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Harvest Community's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Pritchard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds, and Adam Lawson, who posted 17 points along with six boards and three steals. That was a full 39.5% of Harvest Community's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Eagle's View is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Harvest Community, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-9.

Eagle's View will face off against City of Life Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Eagle's View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully City of Life Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for Harvest Community, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-49 loss against St. Johns Country Day on the 15th.
