Volleyball Game Preview: Central Cabarrus Vikings vs. Berry Cardinals

The Central Cabarrus Vikings will challenge the Berry Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Central Cabarrus came up short against A.L. Brown and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Wonders: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Berry had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Harding University with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Berry was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-7.

Central Cabarrus better focus on containing Sanye Miller and Sclari Encarnacion as the pair were huge in Berry's win. Miller had six aces and three assists, while Encarnacion had five aces. That's the most aces Miller has posted since back in September.

Berry's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Central Cabarrus, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
