Basketball Recap: Ingalls Beats Lacrosse for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Ingalls put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the LaCrosse Leopards by a score of 37-28. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Leopards, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ingalls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Stein, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 21 boards. Stein is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Jill Schmeeckle was another key player, going 7 of 13 on her way to 14 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Ingalls was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as LaCrosse only racked up four assists.

Several Leopards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clara Thielenhaus, who posted eight points and three steals.

Ingalls' record now sits at 4-0. As for LaCrosse, their record now sits at 2-2.

Ingalls will venture away from home to face off against Ashland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season. As for LaCrosse, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Dighton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LaCrosse's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Dighton's offense will have their work cut out for them.
