Volleyball Game Preview: Fox Creek Predators vs. Grovetown Warriors + How To Watch

Fox Creek and Grovetown are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but not for long. The Predators will face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fox Creek will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Fox Creek got the win against Silver Bluff by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fox Creek was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-13, 25-11.

Skylar Miles and Ellie Warner were among the main playmakers for Fox Creek as the former had seven assists and four aces and the latter had ten digs and two assists. Those four aces gave Miles a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Fox Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Grovetown was able to grind out a solid victory over Heritage on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Fox Creek's record now sits at 11-9. As for Grovetown, their record is now 12-16.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Fox Creek has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Grovetown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
