Skyline took its revenge, and now the Spartans are looking for their third straight state title.
Skyline (11-2) got a second chance at the Bothell Cougars (12-1) in Washington's Class 4A semifinals Saturday night. Bothell beat Skyline 25-20 in the KingCo championship to end the regular season. Top prospect Jake Heaps threw three interceptions, but still played well enough to get a chance at a third straight state championship.
