Recap: Valley Patriots vs. Westbrook Wildcats

The Valley Patriots waltzed into Friday's game with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They blew past Westbrook 47-23. Considering Valley has won six matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Cruse led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cruse has scored at least 25% of Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Anna Ferrel, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Westbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Valley will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Seymour at 9:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Westbrook will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colorado at 6:15 p.m. on December 12th. Colorado will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1097th, while Westbrook is ranked 498th).
