Basketball Recap: Eureka Springs Takes a Loss

Eureka Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt an 83-22 defeat at the hands of the Jasper Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Pirates are ranked 114th).

Eureka Springs' record is now 2-11. As for Jasper, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Eureka Springs and Ozark Catholic Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jasper, they will venture away from home to challenge Deer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
