Basketball Recap: Bluffton Victorious

Whale Branch came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Bluffton, but Amirah Brown wouldn't allow it. The Bluffton Bobcats enjoyed a cozy 37-22 victory over the Whale Branch Warriors on Saturday thanks in part to Brown, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Madison Wallace, who had three points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave her a new career-high.

The win got Bluffton back to even at 7-7. As for Whale Branch, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bluffton Bobcats duke it out with the Colleton County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whale Branch, they will challenge Lake Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Marion will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Whale Branch surely won't give up without a fight.
