Basketball Recap: Summit Classical Christian School Picks Up 17th Straight Win at Home

Summit Classical Christian School had won 16 straight home games dating back to last season and Will Simon did his part to make it 17 on Saturday. The Summit Classical Christian School Archers strolled past the Sound Christian Lions with points to spare, taking the game 75-58 thanks in part to Simon, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Trey Hodo was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double on ten points, nine boards, and 13 assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Despite the loss, Sound Christian still got an impressive performance from Makai Resseau, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 18 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Moses Stiver, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Summit Classical Christian School's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Sound Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Classical Christian School will host Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Classical Christian School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 75.3 points per game this season. As for Sound Christian, they will welcome Northwest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sound Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games.
