Softball Recap: Warren Triumphs

Warren won the last time they faced West Orange-Stark and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kinley Fife made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaisea Tupper, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Julia Jeansonne was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

Warren's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for West Orange-Stark, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warren will be taking part in a tournament against West Hardin at 11:25 a.m. on Saturday. As for West Orange-Stark, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deweyville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
