Volleyball Recap: Mabel-Canton's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It was a proper cat-fight when Mabel-Canton faced off against Schaeffer Academy on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Lions 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on six straight.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mabel-Canton was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-5, 25-8.

Mabel-Canton found their leader in sophomore Kaci Wangsness, who had seven aces and four digs. Gwenyth Rein was another key player, getting 27 assists and six digs.

Mabel-Canton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Mabel-Canton's victory bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Schaeffer Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Mabel-Canton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Spring Grove on the 9th. As for Schaeffer Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 11th.
