On Friday Lynch made three total tackles and defended two passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards.

The victory (which was Lincolnton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4. Lynch and Lincolnton will face off against Maiden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tanner Stewart Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Bandys got the W thanks in part to Tanner Stewart playing the best football he has all season. Stewart rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (105.3) per game. Those 166 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Bandys pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They and West Caldwell are set to duel on Friday.

Bost Came Up Big in Lincolnton's 38-0 Victory

The second Lincolnton player making an appearance here is Treylen Bost, and for good reason. He rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 71 yards.

Unfortunately for East Burke, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Bost. Bost rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries the last time he and the Cavaliers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Josh Stover Delivers Best Performance of Season

Maiden was led to victory by Josh Stover, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Stover picked up 149 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 53 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Stover might just drop another big game when he faces off against Lincolnton on Friday. When Stover last faced the Wolves back in October of 2023, he rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Jay Maxwell Turns in Season-Best Effort

Sadly, Jay Maxwell posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead West Caldwell over West Lincoln on Friday. Maxwell picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making a tackle and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

West Caldwell is on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. They and Bandys are set to duel on Friday.
