Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lakeland walked away with it. They put the hurt on the West Bloomfield Lakers with a sharp 17-2 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lakeland has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for West Bloomfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-22 record.

Lakeland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-3 loss against Walled Lake Northern on the 31st. West Bloomfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
