Softball Recap: Ridgefield Park's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Ridgefield Park entered their tilt with Paramus on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Spartans.

Ridgefield Park saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivana Capurso, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Capurso a new career-high.

Ridgefield Park pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Paramus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgefield Park will venture away from home to challenge Fort Lee at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Paramus, they will take on Northern Highlands at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
