Baseball Recap: Clint Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Clint rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bowie Bears by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won five in a row.

Kevin Pacheco was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Oscar Maldonado was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Clint's win bumped their record up to 18-11-1. As for Bowie, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Clint will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
