Mildred wins going away against Palmer

The Mildred Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Palmer 61-45. That's another feather in the cap for Mildred, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Palmer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Robinson, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenli Dobie, who scored 15 points.

Mildred is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Palmer, they bumped their record down to 8-18 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.

Mildred will head out on the road to take on Malakoff at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Malakoff presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mildred in Texas (Malakoff is ranked 91st, while Mildred is ranked 762nd). As for Palmer, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kemp at 6:15 p.m. Kemp has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14.
