Vilonia had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past the Bryant Hornets with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 57-41. The Eagles have beaten the Hornets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hornets has come to flipping the script.

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vilonia will venture away from home to square off against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryant, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Mills University Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
