After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lamar, Florence was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Fountain Valley Danes by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Huskies, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 26-24, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, Fountain Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylin McKessy had 15 digs and one block.

Florence's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Fountain Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Florence has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against La Junta on the 23rd. As for Fountain Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Monument Academy on the 25th.
