Recap: Antwerp Archers vs. Paulding Panthers

The Antwerp Archers waltzed into their match Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They skirted past Paulding 35-32. For Antwerp, this counts as revenge for the 48-43 defeat Paulding walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Despite the defeat, Paulding saw an underclassman step up: Kayleigh Dunham dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Antwerp pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Paulding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antwerp will take on Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Crestview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Thursday. As for Paulding, they will be playing at home against St. John's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
